Statistical analysis

With statistical analysis, a data model of the relationship between two texts, which are the same text in two languages, is constructed. The system can then come up with translations from one language to the other by finding recognizable patterns. If there is a large amount of text, the result is extremely good, but smaller text bases can also be used.

Linguistic analysis

This method of machine translation of text is based on linguistic analysis. The system analyses individual sentence parts and their shared content. These parts are then translated and linked in the same relationship in the other language. This requires extensive work in developing a system and it can take a long time to achieve a satisfactory result.

We have chosen to use a statistical system, as it is extremely fast, flexible and can immediately be used for many different language pairs.

Regardless of the method used, machine-translated text intended for commercial use must be reviewed by a translator.
