Lingtech uses one of the world's most advanced statistically based automated translation programmes. It was developed by languagelens as the result of a partnership with Lingtech. Using statistical methods for translation has two major advantages: it is easy to set up new systems and the start-up costs are very low.

Automated translation is often an excellent solution when large amounts of text need to be translated. The resulting translation is:

• More consistent
• And, perhaps, less expensive per word.

What can be translated

Using automated translation is an investment. Investments must be made in technology and time. In order for the user to reap the greatest benefit, the task must be large, protracted or recurrent. Neither the content nor the topic is of any consequence. All that is necessary is that the system is based on the same type of material as that to be translated.
