CAT tools

We use CAT (Computer Aided Translation) tools [W] For many of our translations. Our specialisation in technical and highly-specialised text requires it and our customers expect it.

CAT tools guarantee terminology consistency and uniform language, even if the text must be translated by several translators due to time limitations.

We maintain terminology databases and translation memories for several technical fields, and our freelancers are accustomed to working with these tools.

Machine translation

Lingtech uses a statistics-based machine-translation program [W], that we call Lingtech Sunbeam. At more than 10,000 words/minute, it is very fast - new language pairs and domains can be set up within a few weeks. You can find much more information about Lingtech Sunbeam here.
