Cross-cultural Understanding
You should be able to understand yourself, before you can understand others. But that is not enough. If you have foreign colleagues or if you would like to live or work in another country with a culture that is new to you, you should also know something about this culture and about how people act and react. How do people greet each other? Is their body language different? How can you translate the reaction of your business partners? Where and how can you get help if you need it? Do they actually understand you well enough when you speak English?
These are examples which we use during our intercultural courses, in where we give you a lot of information about both the Danish and the foreign culture of your colleagues or the inhabitants of the country where you are going to live or travel to.
