The butterfly

Butterflies are found all over the world, where their different forms and colours reflect their various habitats. They are admired for their silky lightness and for their bright colours wherever they appear. Every day, they cross chasms, mountains, lakes and even borders. They travel vast distances, adapting themselves along the way to local conditions.

Evolution has thus created a creature which is adapted to all the world's various environments, climates, dangers and food sources. Nonetheless, all butterflies have common characteristics. Their technology and design has survived for millions of years.

The butterfly consequently symbolises both soft and hard values.

It can be depicted as a messenger or a bringer of peace, it can symbolise attention or honesty, or it can be seen as a traveller. But for us, the butterfly stands for Cross-national Understanding – Lingtech's central skill.
