Foundation

Lingtech A/S was founded on 1 May 1993.

Ownership

Lingtech is owned by three patent agents: civil engineers Iver Kyed, Ejvind Christiansen and Flemming Wittrup.

Staff

Lingtech has a permanent staff of just under 20 highly experienced people, all of whom hold degrees from Danish or foreign educational institutes in languages, language technology, natural sciences, law, economics and international marketing. The vast majority of the staff have lived abroad for extended periods.

Freelancers

The company employs 150 to 200 freelancers all over the world, selecting its translators and consultants according to what may well be the industry's toughest quality criteria. All of our freelancers are regularly assessed with respect to their quality and ability to meet deadlines, and all are registered in Lingtech's talent database, along with our freelance candidates.

Management

Lingtech’s management group consists of Managing Director Birgit Pichat LLM MBA, Culture Consultant Mark de Vos, Head of department Maj Falsig, and Business Development Manager Annika Mortensen.

Finances

As of 22 October 2004, Lingtech has once again achieved the highest degree of creditworthiness on the Down & Bradstreet Triple A credit risk grading scale. In the last fiscal year, ending on 30 April 2004, the company achieved pre-tax profits of DKK 4.6 million. The company's financial performance over the last five years may be viewed here.
