Quality
Quality standards
Lingtech's quality procedures are in accord with recognised international standards. All of our procedures are documented in internal guidelines, etc. All staff members know who is responsible for what, and what action to take in specific situations. We keep ourselves continually up to date with various quality management systems, such as ISO 9002, TQM, etc. We are now awaiting the publication of the EU standards for translation, which are currently under preparation, and we expect to fully conform to them.
Translation quality
It is not, of course, possible to standardise actual translations, but only the procedures involved in the translation process. However, there are certain requirements towards any good translation: it must be complete and grammatically correct, set expressions must be correctly rendered, and it must be adapted to the target group. The target audience for the translation is decisive for the choice of terminology and style; accordingly, we make sure to agree on this with our customers.
Consultant quality
Lingtech's consultants in Cross-national Understanding are selected on the basis of their specific background and experience in relation to the countries and industries with which they will be working. To this must be added their specific qualifications within Cross-national Communication. Our consultancy services and seminars are provided in accordance with Lingtech's tried and tested methods for staff development in a cross-national environment.
Selection of consultants and translators
All of our consultants possess a great deal of experience with the business communities of the countries in which they specialise, and all of our translators undergo thorough testing. Our in-house staff have to be virtually multitalented, and must be able to keep a cool head under pressure. Common to us all is that we continually evaluate and follow up on our results.
